A Common Creed!

Bonjour mes amis!

Yesterday, I showed you some close-up photos taken in the Cathedral here in Orléans, France.

I saved one Photo for Today...

Let me Translate this for you...

Je crois en Dieu le Pere    (I Believe in God the Father)

En son Fils Jesus Christ    (In His Son, Jesus Christ)

En L'Esprit Createur    (In the Spirit Creator/Holy Spirit)

This is only a small part of a larger Creed, called the Apostle's Creed!

The Apostle's Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty,

      creator of Heaven and Earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,

      who was conceived by the Holy Spirit

      and born of the virgin Mary.

      He suffered under Pontius Pilate,

      was crucified, died, and was buried;

      he descended to hell.

      The third day he rose again from the dead.

      He ascended to heaven

      and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty.

      From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,

      the holy catholic church,

      the communion of saints,

      the forgiveness of sins,

      the resurrection of the body,

      and the life everlasting. Amen.

Christian Churches all around the World confess this same Creed,

about Our God!

I truly pray that you have taken this Creed as your own.

It is a True, Biblical and Concise Statement about our Loving, Righteous, and Triune God.
