Bringing in the New Year!

1/1/2013

Bonjour mes amis!

Happy New Year!
Happy 2013!

We rang in the New Year a little earlier than most of our Family and Friends in the United States.  Being in France and all, we were a good six to seven hours ahead in time.  I hope you had some fun last night!  I'm eager to share our Evening...

I shared earlier that we had a New Year's Reservation at a Restaurant we love here.  Here's where we went and a reminder of the lovely French Menu...

...and a view of one of the fun pieces of Art on the Wall in the Restaurant...

and the Menu...

Here we are, ready to Enjoy! Everything was very Festive, and most of us came home with a little glitter on our clothes or faces!

Course #1
Some Mashed Carrots with Creme, Chives, and Prosciutto!

 Course #2
Ravioli with Foie Gras of Duck!

Course #3
Cleansing the palate with Sherbet in Vodka!

 The Wine of choice!
St. Emilion...from France, of course!

Course #4
Guinea Fowl, Winter Vegetables and beautifully Whipped Potatoes!

Everyone enjoyed themselves...

 Course #5
Goat Cheese and Figs with a Small Salad!

Course #6
Dessert of Exotic Fruits and Light Creme with a Caramelized Bowl...

Look at this Presentation!

It was quite an awesome Meal, and we were seriously full and content!

As it neared Midnight, the family was "jamming" to the Music!

Raising our Glasses at Midnight!
We had serious amounts of Family Fun!

Wishing you all a very Happy New Year!

and, of course...a "Jewel" of a day!
