Bonjour mes amis!
What a fun experience we just had...searching for the Perfect Christmas Tree...here in France!
A friend of ours here needed a little
help with getting their chosen Christmas Tree home, because of a health issue. We were happy to oblige...ie. carry the big guy from the Christmas Tree Farm, put it in the car, and then retrieve it from the car and bring it up to the house!
We asked if all of us could tag along, so we could see what a French Christmas Tree Farm looks like, AND so we could select our own tree! We just wanted a small one. We will celebrate Christmas this year with seven of us, in a 3 bedroom apartment, so we just wanted a 3 or 4 foot tree to enjoy!
Off to the Christmas Tree Farm... just outside of town...

...and here's the section with the smaller trees... |

I don't love this picture of me, but I think you can see how much I enjoyed this! |

Christmas Trees are so different here! |

The extraction begins...with a Chain Saw! |

Dr. J wants them to add a stand, but it''s a "no go"! It's okay...we came up with an alternate plan! |

The Perfect Tree...for us! |

Girlfriend time! |

Most people can't fit their tree and close the trunk door...but we did! |
...and the kind owner cut me off a bunch of lovely branches for decorating...NO EXTRA CHARGE! Our little tree was only 11 Euros! Our friends bought a 40 Euro Tree...a really beautiful one...and we helped them get it home!
Here's our tree back at the apartment, loaded up with lights!
This was definitely a most fun experience...one we will probably never forget!

We just need to add make a few more decorations!!! |
I hope you are enjoying this wonderful time of year, and getting to do something you maybe haven't done before!
Have a "Jewel" of a day!
Jan
