A Slice of Heaven!

21/10/2012

Bonjour mes amis!

Can I just share a little story with you today about what happened to us last week?

Last Sunday, we drove to the Church we've been attending here in Orléans.  As we approached the entry, we realized that the gate was closed to the front of the Church and there was a sign posted.  All of a sudden we realized that this might be the week they were meeting with other Churches  (...we forgot to check the website, and we were in The Netherlands the previous weekend...).  Anyway, I had gone to a Ladies Bible Study on the previous Thursday night, and met a woman I hadn't met before.  Well, guess what?  As God would have it, she and her family had driven up to the gate just before us.  They pulled ahead of us, and she jumped out in the rain, and came to our car, and asked if we wanted to follow them.  Thank you, God!

There was a huge Protestant Service, with like 8 or 10 Churches, at a Community Center.  We sat up in the bleacher section, right behind our new friends, and thanked them.  (We probably wouldn't have understood where to go otherwise).  The Service, and especially the Music, was like...

A Slice of Heaven...

We sang several beautiful songs that were new to us, and also...

Great is Thy Faithfulness

and...

I Surrender All
(as part of the Communion time)

We kept getting Tears in our Eyes...

The place was FULL and the time of Worship was Glorious!

If it hadn't rained, I'm sure there wouldn't have been enough seating.  We saw several people from our Church, and greeted them as we were able.  The Service was planned as a whole day Event, and we were not able to stay all day, but we are definitely marveling at how the Lord not only provided a way for us to attend this Worship Service, but He also gave us...

A Glimpse of what Heaven will be Like

no matter the language we speak,
the country we are from,
or the denomination we are part of...

And all because of what Jesus Christ has done for Us!

Thanks for letting me share this with you today...

"Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, And I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever."
Psalm 23:6

Have a Blessed Day!
