Choco-Château!

11/03/2013

Bonjour mes amis!

Happy Monday!  I hope you had a nice weekend.  We had wonderful weather this weekend, which really made us happy.  We're back to a rainy morning though, and some colder temperatures coming this week, so we'll be putting our Winter Coats back on for a few days.  That's okay...for now...

Today, I want to show you what we did on Saturday.  We had been told about an Event at a Château that we visited early last Fall...and it involved Chocolate...so why not go?

Does this look familiar?

Or this?

This is Château de Chamerolles...and this is the Event that was happening...Choco-Château, Le Salon des Chocolatiers!

And, lots of people came to enjoy this...

First, we wandered into a large tented area where a Cooking School was teaching people how to make Chocolate Mousse.  I don't know what those lucky people did to get aprons from the Chef to participate!?!

The Chef at work!

I was rather jealous, because, I saw the Chef give each of the participants his recipe!

Here's the Schedule for the weekend of all the Chocolate Treats they were making...

Here's Jewelius and me, trying to decide which Chocolate to buy...of course, the man let us sample some, too!

We tried the Chocolate Wine, but weren't too crazy about it...

I just loved this Sign...

I know I've told you...but, Owls are so "in" right now...

At one of the Vendor's displays, all of the Salespeople were dressed in elaborate Costumes...and giving out samples...

I purchased some delicious Chocolates that were filled with Chocolate Mousse!  (Then, went back to these people a little while later, and purchased more to use as a gift for our Sunday Dinner Invitation!)

We have toured this Château before, but we went through it one more time.  This is the Château known for Perfumes.  I like this particular room, although, you can only see a small portion of it in this picture!

The Lake off to the side of the Château still looked pretty, even though the trees are bare...

The Gardens out back were bare, too, but we walked through anyway...

Dr. J and Jewelius still played in the Maze...

Jewelius and I treated ourselves to a cup of Chocolate Mousse...Mmmmm!

In another area, there were many Chocolate Artisans at work...so creative, and so beautiful...

We had a very enjoyable time!

On the way back to Orléans, we stopped at a little Church in Chilleurs-aux-Bois...

Dr. J really should have a bumper sticker that says, "I brake for Stained-Glass Windows"!  He just LOVES them.

So, we have a little bit of Chocolate around here now to enjoy...

AND WE WILL!

Are you getting your daily dose of Chocolate?

Have a "Jewel" of a day!
Jan
