Bonjour mes amis!
One of our favorite things about the fact that we've been visiting Orléans, France for about 12 years now, is that we have friends to see when we are in town. And we do enjoy going into French homes. Just like in the U.S., it's fun to see how people live and learn what is important to them.
Our last Sunday in France, we received a luncheon invitation with friends in their home. This wasn't a luncheon, as in sandwiches and iced tea. No, it was a nice, long French meal, with laughter and fun conversation, and even a Concert!
Sweet Apolline "wowed" us with her music, while her Daddy accompanied her on the piano before our meal. It was so nice. After the meal, Dr. J announced that it was photo time
First, Apolline obliged! (Yes, that is Scooby Doo on the TV screen behind them!) Once everyone else joined in the photo, we got serious and took a nice photo!
But then, Apolline got silly! She was a hoot, and kept Dr. J on his toes!
Alas, it was time to let the family enjoy the rest of Father's Day, and go to the Loiret for a walk...
I'm always up for beautiful views along the way...
And then, the tranquil began...
