Laughter in the Cathedral!
7/1/2016
Bonjour mes amis!
How are you doing on these hot Summer days? Hard to believe it's July already, isn't it? Well, why don't we step into a dark, cool Cathedral for a respite! I've taken you to this Cathedral in Orléans, France so many times!
But while Ms. Emerald was visiting us, she requested another stop here, and fortunately for us, a section was open for viewing that generally is not.
I am simply astounded by the details!
I mean, just look at this woodwork!
Everywhere you look there's awesome details...
At one point, Ms. Emerald got real creative with her photography...
She held her new camera low to the ground and aimed up, and took an image of the ceiling, and then some giggles started when an idea came into our heads...
We weren't loud or anything, but we attempted a quiet selfie right there...
And then...
We were having too much fun!
Yes, there was laughter in the Cathedral!
We put on our serious faces and moved along...
And then I remembered that Ms. Sapphire wanted me to challenge Ms. Emerald to find something in the Cathedral. After I pointed Ms. Emerald to the correct wall, she spotted it!
This guy above with the large nostrils made us laugh again! (So, yes, Ms. Sapphire...she found it!)
Oh, now here's something pretty! Moving along...
Whoops! Interesting floor grate...more laughter!
Ms. Emerald, you are so creative!
Most people don't take selfies in a Cathedral, or even take pictures of their Mothers in a Cathedral, but Ms. Emerald did!
We took our laughter outside now...
And just enjoyed this beautiful building...
And the surrounding area!
And then I got a shot of Ms. Emerald! It only took four shots until she was happy with the result!
Perhaps I should change the title of this post...
Maybe "Joy at the Cathedral" would have been more appropriate! Yes, there definitely was joy!
À bientot.
